Kasturi Agrotech Laboratory for Farmers

Latthe Education Society has made most astonishing relations with people of Western Maharashtra & North Karnataka in educational field. In affiliated with Shivaji University, our college has started Department of Biotechnology in June 2005. It opened the door to younger generation for business oriented biotechnology & agro technology. Department of Biotechnology has started ‘ Kasturi Agrotech’ Soil, water, Fertilizers, plant tissue ( leaf, petiole ) analysis laboratory in April 2010. It is helpful for students of Biotechnology for study and farmers of Western Maharashtra & North Karnataka for their agricultural Analysis. With moderate fee, we provide accurate analysis, well diagnosis, suitable decision, experts advice... Effect of that Kasturi Agrotech made good relation with farmers. Actually, Our motive to start this laboratory is to provide good research source to students, Proper diagnosis for farmers by accurate analysis, Crop to crop suitable recommendations for use of proper fertilizers, to put agricultural field in profit by proper guidance to farmers and to provide all essential facilities for agricultural field.

• Water analysis – pH, EC, Potassium, Calcium, Manganese Carbonate, Bicarbonate, Chlorides, Sulphates, Nitrates, SAR, RSC, DO, Microbiological analysis,
• Plant Tissue analysis – Nitrogen, Nitrate – N, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc, Ferrous, Copper, Manganese, Molybdenum, Boron, Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Sulphur.
• Fertilizers Analysis – Moisture, Total ash, Sand Silica, pH, EC, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc, Ferrous, Copper, Manganese, Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium
• Training for B. Sc. & M. Sc. Biotechnology Students.

As a part of extension activity, we have started Kasturi Agrotech labortary for soil, water, plant tissue & fertilizer analysis. As a social obliation, we are providing this facility to farmers with moderate fee.
